A project like none other where a simple fire could put a number of daily lives at stake as high as 2.7 million meant that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation chose to approach Vasu Infosec to ensure its safety. As the first step in the process, Vasu Infosec’s assessment team identified the most crucial junction which could turn into a bottleneck incase of a fire hazard. It turned out that a major point of connection where the Delhi Metro connected with several other modes of public transport, the Sarita Vihar Depot was at a high risk. The engineering team then immediately set about creating a plan to implement a fire safety system, they decided to use a two-pronged approach using both the sprinkler and wet riser systems. The installation of the project was carried out at a rapid pace to ensure no delays in the Metro project’s launch. On the day of the grand launch the Metro was able to boast of not just the most advanced communication and train control systems but also the best fire safety systems. The 2 million+ Delhites who travel in the Delhi Metro on a daily basis can now do so without worrying about a fire risk thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Vasu Infosec team in collaboration with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
